Production Lead
Position Overview
The Production Lead at JAKT Gear plays a vital role in our manufacturing process, focusing on material preparation and quality control. This hands-on position ensures accurate preparation of materials and maintains high-quality standards throughout the production process.
Available As: In-warehouse W2 position only
Key Responsibilities
Material Preparation
- Measure, mark, and cut materials according to product specifications
- Perform material fusing operations following established procedures
- Count and verify all components before releasing to production
- Maintain organized workspace and material staging areas
- Document material usage and maintain accurate records
Quality Control
- Inspect materials and finished products for quality and accuracy
- Perform measurements to ensure products meet specifications
- Complete finishing operations on manufactured items
- Document quality checks and maintain detailed records
- Identify and report quality issues
Packaging
- Assemble product components according to specifications
- Package finished products according to established procedures
- Verify correct packaging materials and documentation
- Ensure products are correctly labeled and ready for distribution
- Maintain clean and organized packaging area
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail
- Basic math skills for measuring and counting
- Ability to follow detailed instructions

Production Associate
Position Overview
The Production Associate at JAKT Gear is responsible for producing and assembling products or components using specialized equipment and techniques. This position offers flexibility with both in-warehouse and work-from-home opportunities.

- Remote 1099 contractor position
Key Responsibilities
Production and Assembly
- Review and follow standard operating procedures and work orders
- Perform precise measurements and assembly of components
- Utilize specialized equipment, including looms for paracord braiding
- Maintain consistent quality throughout the production process
- Complete production reports as required
Quality Control
- Conduct regular quality checks throughout the manufacturing process
- Ensure accuracy in measurements and assembly
- Maintain organized workspace and materials
- Follow established quality control procedures
- Report any quality concerns or issues
Required Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to follow detailed instructions
- Reliable and punctual
- Physical capability to perform repetitive motions

Material Preparation & Sewing Specialist
Position Overview The Material Preparation & Sewing Specialist at JAKT Gear plays a dual role in our manufacturing process. This position handles the precise preparation of materials (measuring, marking, cutting) and operates domestic sewing equipment to produce high-quality products according to specifications. This integrated role creates efficiency in our production process while maintaining our commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities
Material Preparation
- Measure, mark, and cut fabric, textiles, and plastic materials according to product specifications
- Perform material fusing operations following established procedures
- Count and verify all components before moving to the sewing phase
- Document material usage and maintain accurate inventory records
- Organize materials and prepare work orders for production flow
Sewing Production
- Set up and operate domestic sewing machines, selecting appropriate threads
- Alter machine settings to suit different material types
- Guide prepared materials through sewing machines following detailed work instructions
- Create prototypes and samples when required
- Follow appropriate pattern instructions to position materials correctly
Quality Control
- Inspect materials and finished products to ensure quality standards
- Maintain samples of finished products for reference
- Perform measurements to confirm products meet specifications
- Document quality checks and maintain detailed records
- Identify and report quality issues promptly
Equipment and Workspace Management
- Perform general preventative maintenance on sewing equipment
- Assist with kit assembly and packaging when needed
- Maintain clean and organized workspace and material staging areas
- Keep equipment in good working order
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
- 1 year experience with sewing operations
- Experience using sewing equipment and methods
- Knowledge of needle sizes, fabrics, and machine-threading techniques
- Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions
- Strong attention to detail and quality focus
- Basic math skills for measuring and counting
- Reliable and punctual with good time management
- Non-smoker
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in material cutting or preparation
- Background in textile manufacturing
- Experience with pattern reading and interpretation
- Knowledge of quality control processes
